About conference
The forthcoming 39th International Conference on the Development of Organizational Sciences adopts the development timeline to direct the ideas of the academic and professional public to ensure our better tomorrow. Changing the image of today’s individual, society, organizations and environment requires changes in the traditional performance structures from different perspectives.
Is it enough to be innovative? Is it enough to direct the action through the prism of digital technology? Organizations are at the roundabout of the intersection of human innovation, process development and information technology with technological advances, where organizations are fostering competitiveness and creating an ecosystem of digital users.
In the perception of modern organizations, the roundabout enables us to streamline digital transformation experiences, ideas and guidelines in a relatively short time, while reducing the time of uncertain decisions. Changing established business models coupled with the development of ideas, the promotion of innovation and technology, promotes change management towards an increasing synergy of innovation and digital transformation.
The International Conference on the Development of Organizational Sciences traditionally encourages and in recent years increasingly integrates academic knowledge with professional solutions of economy and non-economy. In 2020, the conference initially presents the challenge, but above all the possibilities to connect and position ideas for the future of organizations operating on the wings of digital transformation and innovation, and promote the perception of digitalization as key article for the individual, processes and information towards developing business models of organizations.

GREEN AND DIGITAL TRANSITION – CHALLENGE OR OPPORTUNITY
The announcement of the 43rd International Scientific Conference on the Development of Organizational Science, which will be held in Portorož from 20th to 22nd March 2024, is here. The development of organizational science opens the door to the development strategies of organizations at the level of people, information systems and business systems engineering. The three main pillars of organizations are thus at the forefront of development, driven by environmental factors and guiding performance and growth from the perspective of social, economic, natural and other elements. In order to successfully achieve the goals of organizations and adequately address the overarching challenges of society, the area of green and digital transition is also placed under the umbrella of organizational growth strategy. The goals associated with this challenge need to address environmental dimensions on the one hand and, boost the economy through green technologies, sustainable development, and pollution reduction on the other. The green and digital transition is also an opportunity for organizations to make changes to respond to overarching environmental challenges.
The area of sustainable development of organizations, which also provides the title of this year’s conference: Green and Digital Transition – Challenge or Opportunity, has and will have huge implications for the way the business world will operate in the future. The reflections of this year’s conference align with both the legal framework and, more importantly with the understanding of organizational science in the green and digital transition, which coincides with a sustainable individual and society. In terms of the human factor, organizations need to think about a spectrum of competencies to successfully manage the green and digital transition. Also, from the perspective of information systems accelerating digital transformation in many areas, advances in digital technologies, information security and other related content, green and digital transition will undoubtedly open opportunities for new IT tools that will contribute to business success. Finally, the development of green and digital transition concepts in business processes also offers the opportunity to develop sustainable business strategies for organizations. This will increase the performance of organizations in the long run, through process optimization and appropriate organization.
Green and digital transition aims to provoke the thoughts of conference participants on several pillars and promote a green, digital, competitive, and successful view of the development of business, industry, and other organizations. Above all, we also want to stimulate interest and discussion towards whether green and digital transition is a challenge or an opportunity for organizations and society.
This year, we will again welcome national and international participants who will create content based on networking and connections that will help us create a sustainable and socially responsible environment. By bringing together applied solutions and scientific dimensions in the national and international space, the green and digital transition in 2024 will be a common starting point for research and expert and scientific debate. In Portorož, we will bring together opinions, views, and scientific and professional debates that will inspire us all to act in the future, both in organizations and in society at large.
We invite you to join us in contributing to the 43rd International Science Conference 2024.
