The modern working environment is changing faster than ever before. Technological developments, particularly in artificial intelligence and digital transformation, demographic shifts, the interplay of hybrid forms of work, and the need for sustainable and socially responsible operations present organisations with ever-new challenges. Employees’ changing expectations call for a holistic understanding of the future of work. In every organisation, proactively monitoring the external environment and responding promptly to contemporary organisational challenges are necessities and integral parts of everyday practice.

With a tradition spanning more than four decades, this international scientific conference has successfully brought together academic and

professional communities, researchers, students, and representatives from business, the public sector and beyond. This year’s conference continues to serve as a central forum for exchanging perspectives and best practices, as well as for scientific and professional discussions in organisational sciences.

Through this year’s conference theme, ‘The Future of Work and Contemporary Organisational Challenges’, we seek once again to encourage collaboration between academia and business.
